S4A2101+ – Strategizing the Big Picture: Template for coming up with your Generic Strategy, Competitive Advantage(s), and evaluating the Core Competences that support Competitive Advantage

File includes 5 templates. This is the first Strategy4Action template for Strategizing.  It builds on the work done in Internal Analysis relative to pre-existing (if any) Competitive Advantage and Core Competences and compels you to make a strong choice here for the future. The first form starts by guiding you through the process of choosing clearly one of the three main Generic Strategies. In the first part of the second template, you are led to select the Competitive Advantage you want to build or reinforce for the foreseeable future; and, in the second part, your Strategy Team will be asked to evaluate the Competitive Advantage and determine if it is really one that makes a difference. The third form has you list the Core Competences that support the Competitive Advantage or Advantages.  It has a couple of different approaches for evaluation, and it compels you to think about ways to make it better gathering again the crowd wisdom of your Strategy Team. As we know, Competitive Advantage needs to be supported by a unique arrangement of activities; the 4th form helps you think about that and rearrange your activities so you can reinforce your Competitive Advantage(s). The 5th form has a SWOT form where you’re encouraged to summarize the findings of the process above; the Strategy4Action framework peruses 23+ areas, including Competitive Advantage.
