S4A1302 – Analysis Wrap up: Template for analyzing your Core Competences, your Competitive Advantage, and Strategic Fit

File includes 5 templates. As you might know by now, I think Competitive Advantage is the most important concept in Strategy.  In these templates we go from your main strength to your Core Competences and Competitive Advantage and end up analyzing the Strategic fit among the most important elements of your Strategy. The first form starts by having you thinking about your main strengths (you now have a list of about 20 swots) and then grouping the into your core competences. Then, in the second form, you are led to evaluate those Core Competences versus four important criteria, namely the Core Competences of your competitors. The third form is a pivotal moment; having done the evaluation above you are asked to think:  do you really have a Competitive Advantage or Advantage and to describe it or them. Strategic Fit is the way in which the most important elopements of your strategy fit into each other and reinforce each other, or are they a conglomerate of loose pieces?  Are some even detrimental?  This form makes you stop, think, and evaluate that. The 4th has a SWOT form where you’re encouraged to summarize the findings of the process above; the Strategy4Action framework peruses 23+ areas, including Core Competences, Competitive Advantage, and Strategic Fit, to find new opportunities (as well as threats, strengths, and weaknesses).
