File includes 5 templates. We explore the topic of Suppliers within the Five Forces Model both through the perspective of Suppliers and that of Inputs. The first form encourages designing a brief sketch of the Supply Chain and has a suggested template to determine the top suppliers and list the most relevant information about them. The second form explores opportunities and threats coming from Suppliers by addressing certain topics regarding the main Suppliers identified. The third form encourages describing the purchasing SOP (which could be a jumping start if you don’t have one) and has a suggested template to determine the top inputs and list the most relevant information about them. The fourth form is, we believe a unique form, encouraging exploring different suppliers for each input, thinking about substitute products for your inputs and finding opportunities as you go through the process. The 5th has a SWOT form where you’re encouraged to summarize the findings of the process above; the Strategy4Action framework peruses 23+ areas, including Suppliers and Inputs, to find new opportunities (as well as threats, strengths, and weaknesses).
